Emphasis is on you understanding how to do each pose in a way that suits your body and what the benefits of each one are. If you have never tried yoga before this class is perfect for you as well as meeting the needs of those wanting to deepen their knowledge before moving to the Intermediate level.
These classes are a blend of the ancient teachings of activating the subtle energetic body to stimulate the body’s natural healing power as you nourish and harmonize your body and calm your mind. As your whole body rests and opens with long held poses you can let go and release anything that is limiting you.
This most closely reflects my personal practice and what I love, which is the variety. Every class is different, it may sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or it may focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. The class may be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures, or it may be a slower flow with an emphasis on mobility and flexibility.
